From 100 to 600 Weddings a Year
(And Still Counting)
What started as a few weddings a
month has grown into something much
bigger. Today, Steve and his team
officiate over 600 weddings a year,
each one thoughtfully prepared and
uniquely delivered.
“No two love stories are the same,” he
says. “So no two ceremonies should be
either.”
Even with all that growth, Steve’s heart
hasn’t changed. He’s still searching for
new officiants, not just professionals,
but people with the heart to serve, to
listen, and to make every couple feel
seen.
Moments That Stay With You
When asked about the most
unforgettable ceremonies, Steve
doesn’t hesitate. One memory still gets
him: a small, quiet wedding for a couple
from Connecticut, marked by grace and
resilience.
“Those are the ones that stay in your
spirit,” he says. “When love shows up in
the middle of life’s hardest places, it hits
different.”
For Steve, marriage isn’t just a legal
bond; it’s a sacred covenant. And every
ceremony he leads is a chance to help
couples start strong, stay grounded,
and walk forward with intention.
“Dog’s Feet.” The Power of the Pause
Now here’s a little nugget we love.
Steve shares a piece of wisdom inspired
by none other than Alfred Hitchcock.
Apparently, the filmmaker once directed
Shirley MacLaine with the cue: “Dog’s
feet, dog’s feet.” Translation? Pause.
Steve took that to heart.
“In the middle of vows, or wedding
prep, or even a tough conversation, just
pause,” he says. “Breathe. Take in your
partner. Be in the moment.”
He practices that pause in everyday life
too, especially with his wife.
A simple example, he shares, is how he
and his wife tour museums together.
“First off, we both love them. But I’m a
visual guy, I glance at the exhibits and
stop at the ones that catch my interest.
My wife takes in every single exhibit and
every word. And trust me, there are a
lot of words in a museum,” he laughs.
“But I’ve learned to slow down… to see
the world through her eyes. It’s made
me a better officiant, and more
importantly, a better husband.”
