FINDING YOUR RHYTHM OF REST
DR. RHONDA BOGGI | TRANSFORMATION ISSUE
Transformation doesn’t only happen in motion;
it happens in stillness. For Dr. Rhonda Boggi,
rest isn’t the absence of productivity; it’s the
foundation of transformation itself. As the
creator of the Rise to Thrive movement, she
teaches that resilience requires rhythm, a sacred
balance between pouring out and refilling,
giving and receiving, doing and simply being.
“Rest is not laziness,” Dr. Rhonda shares. “It’s
alignment. It’s where we meet God in the quiet
and let Him restore what work has worn down.”
In her coaching and healthcare leadership, she’s
witnessed countless women and nurses who’ve
mastered the art of caring for others yet
struggle to extend the same compassion to
themselves. The result? Burnout disguised as
strength.
Her message is clear: it’s time to redefine rest
as spiritual maintenance, not self-indulgence.
Rest as Restoration
Dr. Rhonda encourages setting rhythms that
honor your natural energy cycles. Just as the
body needs sleep, the spirit needs space.
Proper rest involves boundaries, reflection, and
grace.
She often invites her clients to ask themselves:
“What would peace look like in my daily
routine?” The answer, she explains, is not found
in a vacation or escape but in consistent micro-
moments of pause, prayer before pressure,
breath before burnout.
“When we rest, we remember who we are,” she
says. “And remembering restores everything.”
Reflection | Write the Vision
Ask yourself: Where am I pushing when I
should be pausing?
Practice: Schedule one “sacred pause” in
your day; even five minutes of stillness is
enough to reset your rhythm.
Scripture: “He makes me lie down in green
pastures; He leads me beside still waters;
He restores my soul.” Psalm 23:2-3
