THE BEAUTY OF CHANGE: A DEVOTIONAL REFLECTION ON
ECCLESIASTES 3:1
TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON, AND A TIME TO EVERY PURPOSE UNDER HEAVEN.
There are moments in life when
everything seems to shift the rhythm of
our days, the direction of our hearts,
even the way the light falls through our
windows. Change often arrives quietly,
but its impact echoes deeply.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 whispers a truth we
often forget: every season has purpose.
God, in His infinite wisdom, designed
time not as a straight line but as a series
of sacred cycles. Each moment, whether
joyful or painful, busy or still, is a piece
of His divine choreography. We are
meant to dance through these seasons,
not resist them. The beauty of this truth
is that no season is wasted. Even what
feels like waiting is working.
When leaves fall, it’s not a sign of death
but of renewal. Nature sheds what no
longer serves so that new life can
emerge. Likewise, there are parts of our
journey where God invites us to release
old habits, expired dreams, or
relationships that no longer align with
our purpose. The letting go is hard, but it
is holy. Because just as autumn precedes
spring, surrender precedes resurrection.
This passage reminds us that change
isn’t chaos, it’s choreography. Every
season is under heaven’s supervision.
The same God who governs the stars
governs your story. When the world feels
uncertain, His sovereignty remains
steady. When doors close, He is already
opening others behind the scenes.
Contributor Pastor Samuel Chukwuneke
So, instead of fearing transition, we
can rest in trust. We can choose to
ask: “Lord, what are You teaching me
in this season?” rather than “When will
this be over?” Every shift in our lives
carries the fingerprints of God’s
purpose.
In this issue of Fall Splendor, we
celebrate the courage to evolve to
trust the Author of our seasons.
Whether you’re in the midst of
blooming, pruning, or waiting, may
you remember: your timing is not off,
it’s ordained. God is never late; He is
preparing you for what’s next.
🍂 Harvest Reflection
🌿 Ask Yourself:
What is God inviting me to release so
He can bring something new to life?
📖 Scripture:
“He has made everything beautiful in
its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, help me embrace change with
grace. Teach me to see the beauty in
every season and to trust that even in
uncertainty, You are guiding my steps.
Let me bloom where You’ve planted
me and rest in the rhythm of Your
divine timing. Amen.
